Health Insurance Quotes In Arizona Question & Answers

2013 November 23
by Sarah Fields

Robert asks…

How can Romney build up the military without cutting Medicare or raising taxes?

Sarah Fields answers:

Only by running up more debt. Anyone would have to be a fool to vote for Mitt Romney now that he’s locked arms with Paul Ryan. A number of faith leaders have come forward to blast Romney’s/Paul Ryan’s extremist vision for America.

Bishop Gene Robinson said, “The Ryan budget robs the poor, the marginalized and the vulnerable of the safety net so integral to their survival. By any measure of civility and regard for one’s neighbor, it’s an immoral disaster.”

Paul Ryan’s budget plan:

-takes health care away from 48 million Americans to pay for a tax cut for the richest 1% to make them $3Trillion richer

-hands Medicare to for-profit health insurance CEOs, and with each year seniors are going to have to pay thousands of dollars more out of pocket while the amount the government pays will shrink

-makes massive cuts in Social Security, setting the stage to hand its $2.6 trust fund over to Wall Street. No wonder Wall Street billionaires have been seen recently wearing “Paul Ryan for VP” pins.

-proposes to off more than three million acres of public lands that belong to We the People in states like Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and several others, to the highest billionaire bidder at a fraction of its real value

-slashes government discretionary spending to its lowest level in 50 years – that means benefits for veterans, senior citizens, the poor, the sick, students – all will be slashed

-preserves $40 Billion in corporate welfare – and Paul Ryan would give American billionaires a $3 trillion tax cut

This is just a partial sampling of what else the Paul Ryan budget would do if applied evenly across the board (FACT not conjecture):

-We wouldn’t have the capacity to enforce the laws that protect the air we breathe, the water we drink, or the food we eat

-Cuts to the FAA would likely result in more flight cancellations, delays, and complete elimination of Air Traffic Control Systems in parts of the country

-Over time, our weather forecast would become less accurate because we couldn’t afford to launch new satellites, and that means governors and mayors would have to wait longer to order evacuations in the event of a hurricane

-Starting in 2014 over 200,000 children would lose Head Start

-Two million mothers and young children would be cut from a program that gives them healthy food

-There would be 4,500 fewer federal grants at the Department of Justice and the FBI to combat violent crime, financial crime, and help secure our borders

-Hundreds of National Parks would be forced to close for part or all of the year

-The year after next, more than ten million college students would see their financial aid cut by an average of more than $1K each

-There would be 1,600 fewer medical grants for research on diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s and AIDS

-There would be 4,000 fewer scientific research grants, eliminating support for 4,8000 researchers, students and teachers

-Clean energy technologies that are helping us reduce our dependence on foreign oil would be cut by nearly 1/5th

Remember, the Republican game plan is not just to pass the legislation — it’s to first make the legislation seem reasonable. Don’t be fooled.

Chris asks…

Why do liberals hold economic views from the dark ages?

They didn’t allow money lenders/bankers back then because they thought it was a sin… the only people they allowed to be bankers were Jews, because they thought they were going to hell already anyway.

Why are liberals so similar to dark age Christians in their views of economics…? Has their thinking really regressed that far.
Wow people’s understanding of the history of economics is nonexistent here, sorry I asked.
Tell liberals the truth, that they hold the same views as dark-age Christians and they flip out. Funny stuff.

Sarah Fields answers:

They don’t.

Why do conservatives hold economic views that violate the principles of Christianity? A number of faith leaders have come forward to blast Paul Ryan’s extremist vision for America.

Bishop Gene Robinson said, “The Ryan budget robs the poor, the marginalized and the vulnerable of the safety net so integral to their survival. By any measure of civility and regard for one’s neighbor, it’s an immoral disaster.”

-preserves $40Billion in taxpayer subsidies for transnational oil companies over the next decade – an industry that just last year raked in over $137Billion in profits

This is corporate welfare at its most extreme, and a glimpse into the corporatocracy that Republicans want to drag us all through.

Betty asks…

Why do Neo Conservatives want to base all the Laws on Religious Beliefs?

Sarah Fields answers:

They don’t. They only SAY they do because the corporate-controlled GOP is using Christians. A number of faith leaders have come forward to blast Paul Ryan’s extremist vision for America.
